McCain/Palin vs. the very bad alternative

So now that the Republican convention is over and the presidential race in the final leg of the race my views for McCain have dramatically changed. I still don't agree with him on certain issues but then again I didn't agree with "W" on every issue. But McCain has served our country well, not just in the military but also in his years of service in congress. I think he will make a fine president. And it appears he listens to his constituents.

And Palin, well there is nothing like her. She rocks. She is definitely the breath of fresh air needed in Washington DC. If she can blast past all the political nonsense in DC and actually make a difference we may see a renewed optimism among Americans.

The alternative to the Republican ticket is not good and rather frightening. Obama supports every moral evil (i.e. born alive infant act, just one of many examples) and if making the right decision on the abortion issue is "above his pay grade" (which is fairly simple... either your for life or your for death... pretty simple decision) then he's not going to make good decisions on tough issues like national security and the economy. Not to mention the tax hike he's going burden the taxpayer with... there is no democrat anywhere that doesn't like to spend more of someone elses hard earned money.

The "homecoming king" election mentality that gave us eight years of the Clintons and their lies and corruption hopefully won't bring to power another president who is even more morally corrupt. Cast an informed vote that you don't have to check your values at the door before casting your vote.

Left or more Left but no Right in Sight

The world of democratic caucus self destruct is proving to be quite entertaining. I love watching these Hillary & Obama scratch and claw each other. The word freakshow always comes to mind.

So what about this radical Obama? That's one KWAZY preacher he has. And to claim he hasn't heard this guy speak these anti-American things in the 20 years he's been going to this church. I think maybe he has misspoke... (oh wait, that's Hillary's word not Obama's... oops). You would have to be not only be deaf but also dumb to not hear his ranting and raving... I mean preaching. ??? Wow!

Lots of nuts in the news these days.

"I misspoke" Old Word... Newly Overused

In the world of Democrats (or should I say Dim-o-craps) the newly overused word misspoke has appeared. Definition of misspoke: to speak inaccurately, inappropriately, or too hastily. Hmmm... after repeating this story over and over until you got caught doesn't exactly fit the definition now does it?

Actually Hillary, we don't need a new word, the same old word that worked for you and husband will continue to work... the word is??? Lied... yes you lied once again... and once again you can't even tell the truth about your lie... so you bring a new word into our daily soundbites... misspoke.

Impressive... but only to other equally ignorant Dim Libs such as yourself. To the intelligent and thinking world it's not so impressive. Give it up and give us a break!

McCain - Fence Jumper... Right or Left?

I’m concerned that what McCain posts on his website may not be supported by his actual actions. He has a long record in congress and he hasn’t been staunchly pro-life. I don’t know his position on marriage and protecting our children because he isn’t focusing (or should I say the media isn’t focusing either) on these issues. But actions speak louder than words and his actions show me that he acts as much like a dem lib as he does a true conservative.

He does like to cross the line and “hang out” with dems more than he should. When the independents (such as O’Reilly) portray him as a maverick and a moderate that is cause for concern. It’s a play for words such as pro-abortion=pro-choice… homosexuals=gays & lesbians… it’s a visual word diversion and it appalls me greatly. Why? Because it works! What it says to me is he’s a player… both sides of the fence but loyal to neither. If you’re neither hot nor cold but lukewarm… need I go on?

You should listen to what some of his current and previous peers have to say about him too. Newt, Santorum, DeLay, and there are probably more that I can’t think of now. It’s not good. I do wish Santorum had taken that ridiculous loss in 2006 as a drum role to the presidency. I would have voted for him in a heartbeat. He gets it in every area. Hands down.

Laura Ingram played a clip on her show that backs up the latest media scuffle of McCain going dem after the last election. (Like that would be a long hike… more like a dragging the right foot over the fence to join the left foot). McCain actually admitted he would consider the idea.

Dobson has a huge problem with McCain too. Though he has yet to EVER endorse a candidate. I’m fairly certain this election with the slim pickins’ won’t be the time when he chooses to break away from his political history to endorse anyone.

As for Romney… I’m definitely not sold on him. And the fact that he’s caught up in one of the largest religious cults in the world is definite cause for concern.

Huckabee… good (not great) on the social issues… horrible on big government, illegal immigration (fence jumpers… oh wait… there’s no fence… and that partially points back to McCain playing house w/ the dems), national defense, and a host of other issues.

I’m thrilled Rudy is out of the race… mere words cannot express.

I’m disappointed in the choice of Republican candidates. There is clearly no one that stands above the crowd.

What's going on here? Are we right or left?

What's going on here?

After keeping a very close watch on the Republican primaries my opinion is there is cause for concern. I'm amazed that the candidates in the front running aren't solid on both conservative values and social values.

Who are we to vote for come November to keep the dems out of office? If we have McCain and either Hillary or Obama... we have two dems to choose from... Am I going to have to vote for that wrinkled suit Nader? I hope not.

It's time to wake up!
